The Endless Search for Beauty

Where do we find beauty? In the landscape? In our own hearts? Do we see what we want to see? Can we build a future out of what we choose to see?

We move forward through life, searching for freedom, oftentimes fooled by appearances and facades Beauty is embedded in the landscape around us, more real than many of the illusions sold to us by the current culture.

The dawn breaks, and the light cast across the rocks flushes out secrets. As we watch, rain falls and fills waterholes, flooding the dry earth. It brings wildlife and hope, weary eyes smiling as everything is renewed.

Living amongst these places can sometimes grow old. We are a long way from everyone else, the days seem endless and hot, and hanging over our heads is the darkness and uncertainty of the times in which we are placed.

However, if we can occasionally see our world through new eyes, we will notice its beauty and strength anew. The search for endless beauty will never lead us to a desirable place if we follow it down the wrong path. But if we absorb the colours of the rocks and earth, the glint of swimming holes, the blue of the sky, we will know that in a world of flux, some things are evermore. And we will relearn, amongst all the falsities the world offers us, that true beauty never fades.
