Flourish Where You're Planted
The desert wildflowers bloom against the rocks. They turn their blossoms towards the sky, drawing in warmth and life. Some of them, blossoming in the most remote parts of the MacDonnell Ranges, will never see a person to whom they can show off their beauty. Yet, they flourish where they’re planted.
It takes strength to accept that a
good deed or an important achievement may never be seen by another. This does
not mean it is not valuable or worthy. Many people on this busy planet will
never notice us. Some have high profiles and participate in public life,
drawing accolades and criticism in spades. Others, like the wildflower, take
their joy to the far-flung corners of the world, adding their colour and
standing strong.

Wildflowers on the Larapinta Trail |
Life and opportunity come if we look for them. Often opportunity is found in the hard ground, the rocks, and the isolated places. We grow from this soil, and our strength and fortitude are tested. Rain falls, and we are gifted time to flower, adding our own unique beauty to the world.
There is no point in wishing to be
someone else. No one carries your exact petals, your determination, or the
strength forged in your own heart. Instead of wishing to be somewhere else,
take courage, put down your roots, and flourish where you find yourself in this
season. Time always passes – no day lasts forever. So use that time to shine.
